Hand the site over,
not the server keys.
Ston Handoff Pro turns the free plugin’s watch mode into real protection: structure locks that revert unwanted design changes at the data level, token-link content intake, in-dashboard tips, and a ten-year change log with CSV export.
Every agency knows this ticket
You deliver a pixel-perfect Elementor build. Two weeks later the client “just changed a photo” and the hero is 900 px tall, the grid collapsed on mobile, and nobody knows what happened. You rebuild it for free.
- Design changes made by accident, with no trail
- Support tickets with no technical context
- Client content arriving by WhatsApp and email
- Admin screens too complex for the client
The layout simply stops moving
Locks are enforced on the server, on the data itself — not by hiding buttons in the editor. Every save, REST request and direct meta write is compared against the baseline you locked, then reverted or allowed.
- Structure reverted, client text and images kept
- Complete before/after change log per user
- Content collected through expiring token links
- Support requests arrive with the full technical context
Six additions, one purpose:
the build stays as you delivered it.
Hard structure locks
Reverts any change to sections, containers, widget order or layout props — while text, images and links stay editable.
Delete & unpublish guards
A locked document cannot be trashed, deleted or silently unpublished by a client account.
Content intake forms
Send one expiring link. The client fills texts and uploads images; you review, approve, and publish straight into the right element.
In-dashboard tips
Write a short tip for any admin screen. Clients see it exactly where they get stuck — no PDF manual to maintain.
Ten-year log + CSV
The free plugin keeps 30 days. Pro keeps up to ten years and exports the filtered log for reports and audits.
Support context
Tickets arrive with the exact document, element, active plugins and the user’s last changes attached automatically.
One price per year. No per-seat maths.
Every plan contains every feature — plans differ only in how many domains may run Pro at the same time. Cancel any time; the plugin keeps working, updates stop.

The free plugin is not a demo
Ston Handoff on WordPress.org is a complete, permanently free tool: it watches the build and records every change. Pro adds the prevention layer and the client-facing workflow.

Three steps, then you stop worrying
Lock the finished page
Open Handoff → Locks, pick the document, and capture the baseline. Choose which properties stay editable.
Give the client a profile
Assign users to a profile: a clean dashboard with only the menus they need, your branding on the login screen.
Hand it over
Checklist, tips and support button are in place. Structure changes are reverted and logged automatically.

Questions agencies ask before buying
Does Pro work without the free plugin?
No. Pro is an add-on: it needs Ston Handoff (free, from WordPress.org) version 1.0.0 or newer. If the free plugin is missing, Pro shows a notice and stays inactive instead of breaking anything.
What happens when my licence expires?
Nothing is deleted and nothing breaks. Locks fall back to watch mode — changes are still recorded — and the intake data, tips and log stay exactly where they are. Renewing re-enables enforcement instantly.
Does the lock block my own work as the developer?
No. Accounts with the bypass capability edit freely, and you can unlock or re-capture the baseline at any time. The lock targets structure, not content.
Can the client still edit texts and images?
Yes — that is the point. Text, headings, images, links and any property you add to the allow list remain editable. Only structural changes are reverted.
Does it slow the site down?
The enforcement runs on save, not on page views. The front end loads no extra assets for visitors.
Which Elementor versions are supported?
Elementor 3.x with legacy sections, flexbox containers and the atomic (V4) elements. WordPress 6.6+ and PHP 7.4+.
Tip for the site editor: mark this block as an FAQ in your SEO plugin (Rank Math / Yoast) to output FAQPage structured data.

Add Pro when the first client touches the layout.
Both take under five minutes to set up, and nothing you configure in the free version is lost when you upgrade.
